چکیده

Abstract This paper describes an experimental study of the operation internal combustion engine fueled by a low-calorific value gas. The main operating parameters low-power ICE were determined. Efficiency was also evaluated when converted to operate on producer In experiment, it shown that reached stable mode under load and data temperature exhaust gases composition obtained. According our estimates, in steady-state with load, efficiency factor about 22 %. When using model gas, from generator output power, 30-40 % nominal value, variable conditions. However, found operation, power 40-55% value.

Experimental Study of Hydrogen Addition Impact on Emissions and Performance of a Natural Gas Fueled Engine

Hydrogen is seen as one of the important energy carriers of the future with potential to reduce local as well as global warming. The main by-product of the combustion of hydrogen in air is water vapor and trace quantities of oxides of nitrogen. An experiment was conducted to study the impact of hydrogen/natural gas blends on performance, thermodynamic efficiency and exhaust gas emissions in ...

Engine Modeling of an Internal Combustion Engine

In the modern world, one of the largest concerns is the ever depleting supply of oil. The automotive industry is especially impacted. In recent years the price of gasoline has fluctuated substantially and the price of crude oil has reached record highs. The high price of gasoline coupled with the uncertainty of its availability and future price have put a high priority on fuel economy of an eng...

Theoretical and Experimental Analysis of OM314 Diesel Engine Combustion and Performance Characteristics Fueled with DME

Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition (HCCI) combustion is a pioneer method of combustion in which pre-mixed fuel and oxidizer (typically air) are compressed to the point of auto-ignition. HCCI engines can operate with most alternative fuels, especially, dimethyl ether (DME) which has been tested as a possible diesel fuel due to its simultaneously low NOx and PM emissions. In this paper a ...

Comparison between Battery Electric Vehicles and Internal Combustion Engine Vehicles fueled by Electrofuels

Increasing the share of renewable energy used in the transport sector is seen as an important step to globally reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Battery electric vehicles have for a long time been seen as a solution if the electricity is produced by renewable sources, but still suffers from high battery costs and short range issues. As a way to overcome these issues and at the same time keep cur...
